My wife and I decided to select Hammerhead building projects as our builder because of the incredible work we had seen his team deliver and his excellent reputation in our region. 

As an engineer I deal with hundreds of builders and architects in the Northern Rivers and Gold Coast.  I had the pleasure of inspecting many of Luke’s builds and watching them take shape he stood out to me. 

I noticed how detailed and considered his work was.  I quickly learnt how much he cared about building the absolute best homes possible without compromising on anything no matter what the budget. 

Based on this my wife and I decided not to tender out our build, but instead chose Luke and his team as we knew we could trust him to deliver the best possible home for our budget.  It was critically important to have Luke locked in from the start of the project as his input was so valuable.

Luke and his skilled team of carpenters and sub trades are exceptional in every way.  My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process of working with Luke from the concept of our dream home with our architect involved all the way through to handing over the keys ahead of schedule.  He was always very conscious of our budget and guided us through every step of the journey.  Not a single detail was left to chance.  Everything was considered and executed with precision.  Luke is extremely professional and there were absolutely no surprises. 

Our family love living in our beautiful home and it gives me great joy knowing that it was built to stand the tests of time.

We were lucky that our architect insisted we use Luke Fitcher (Hammerhead Constructions) to build our home at Cabarita. Luke is relentless – his attention to detail is impeccable, very important to him and also to his staff, not to mention to us, his clients. He made the building of our house a seamless event. He looked after our interests, including returning products or fittings that were not up to his standard or imperfect in some way. If we ever build another house, Luke will be building it.

As you know we have been lucky enough to own a unique block of land on which we had for many years been thinking about building our “dream house”.

We wanted to write to thank you and your team for helping make that dream come true!

The design and build of our house presented us with significant challenges. We had no prior experience of building a house. We really did not know where to start or how to make all of the decisions that go to make up the whole. In addition we are currently living nearly 1,000 kilometres from where our house was to be built. We therefore needed a builder whom we could trust to “hold our hand” through the entire process. We also needed a builder who could work closely with our architect to achieve a high quality final product.

The standard of the final building is outstanding. All of the fittings and finishes are first class. The overall result has exceeded all of our expectations. We cannot fault any aspect of your work. You provided very good feedback and information about progress throughout the build. There were no surprises from a billing or budget perspective. You worked very well with our architects. They have commented to us about your very professional approach to the whole project. You quickly and efficiently dealt with the minor “defects” that we did identify after taking possession at practical completion. As noted above because of our remoteness from the building site we had to rely on you to always do the “right thing”. You and your team did not let us down. Thank you!

Overall the process of building our new house has been a complete pleasure. We are absolutely thrilled with the final result. We are really looking forward to spending many years enjoying our new home.

Alana and I just wanted to express our sincere thanks for the excellent job you did restoring Houston at Currumbin Beach.  

The whole building was riddled with concrete cancer and falling apart and you guys restored it to better than new. All the time keeping our tenants happy despite the difficult strucural and remediation work.  

Many people in currumbin have thanked us for keeping the history of this building which is largely due to your efforts.

We are just so happy that we chose to go with a really good builder. Luke & his team were great communicators and super organised for the duration of the build, which made it all really easy for us.

Luke was the head contractor for a privately commissioned detached residential project that we designed at Lot 271 Longboard Circuit, Salt Village, (Kingscliff) NSW.

The contract value for the works was nominally $966 000, and it was completed in December 2008.

We found Luke to be:

• aware of, and confident in, his responsibilities for the process
• organised in his approach to the process
• approachable, and open to communication with all parties
• willing to assist the client with the process, and able to adapt to changes
• seeking a high level of outcome in the execution of the works
